Northern Log Home has been in business since (2009) and has done many different jobs to these unique beautiful homes. We strip, stain and chink log homes. Our work on log homes have left all our clients happy and our pictures show our workmanship is top quality. I grew up living in log homes and building these homes with my father and know the business inside out. I now do restoration and refinishing log homes. I can come to your home with many years of knowledge and give advise on what needs to be done and what can be done to help maintain the beauty of your logs. Log homes are high maintenance homes and our work on log homes can keep your cost down over the years. We seal up the home to prevent weather from destroying the logs. Maintenance is the key to keep a beautiful log home. Chinking is my specialty. Maintaining your chink is very important it keeps the moisture out. When cracked and leaking chink does the opposite it traps moisture in causing log rot. I have been starting to get more square tongue and groove home owners wanting the chink in the grooves as the logs dry and warps they open air gaps making high energy bills, Filling the grooves with chink seals the gaps, in return this will save on your energy bills.
